Welcome to our web site! Dixieland Ranch is owned and operated by Marshall and Janet Griffith. We are located in Lebanon, Tennessee, 30 miles east of Nashville on I40 East at exit 245. Our ranch is 20 minutes from Nashville International Airport and only minutes from the Lebanon Municipal Airport.

We had been in the purebred cattle business for 43 years and we had reached a time in our life that we wanted to reduce the size of our operation and enjoy life. We purchased a few commercial goats to keep some of the pastures and fence rows clean in 2003. Just watching them was so fascinating and interesting that is made feeding a pleasure.. We attended some shows and soon got bit by the “Boer Goat” bug. We knew we had to start with the very best foundation we could buy. We spent a lot of time traveling and money before we accomplished this effort. We purchased the traditional full South African Boer goats then added the reds and paints.

Dixieland purchased some of the best bucks they could find over the years. They include RRD Rapid Fire R880, DSM Jeremia, Remington, 2DOX/FH1 Pit Boss, Blue Ribbon T99 Revel Rex, see our buck page for pedigrees. Dixieland has used other bucks in their breeding program such as Ruger, Bo Jangle and now the 2009 ABGA National Champion Luger.

The most enjoyable part of the “Boer Goat Business” is meeting some of the nicest people and making life long friends. We are successful in the business because of their good advise.
